Before 2013, Gazi University's activities within the scope of technology transfer and university-industry cooperation were carried out under different units.

Gazi TTO was established in 2013 within the scope of the 1513 Technology Transfer Offices Support Program. TTO carries out all its works, activities, activities and projects in accordance with the procedures and principles determined by the TÜBİTAK Technology and Innovation Support Programs Presidency.

In 2015, Gazi Teknoloji A.Ş. was established to facilitate technology transfer and university-industry cooperation.

As of November 2021, all of the company shares were taken over by Gazi University, subject to the law of YÖK, and Gazi Üniversitesi Teknoloji Transfer Ofisi A.Ş. was renamed. The company's status as a joint stock company facilitates activities to be carried out to carry out university-industry cooperation activities, to support technology-based entrepreneurship and to commercialize patents.
